dawns photoI’m a self-published author based in Devon and have worked as a wedding and hotel pianist. My love of both music and writing began as a child, although it was only in later life that I was able to pursue them more fully.

During the lockdown, I wrote a memoir about my work in the Civil Service as a VAT Control Officer - it was a strange job, and the urge to write about it began in the late 90s when I penned some of the early chapters.

I enjoyed writing so much that two more memoirs have followed - a memoir spanning thirty years of travel with my husband, who was born with spina bifida, and finally, my childhood memoir about growing up in Birmingham in the 1960s.

The books are on Amazon - see the “Books” tab above for links to the memoirs. On Amazon, you can ‘try before you buy’ by clicking on the “Read Sample” to get a flavour of each one.

  • Dawn Fallon is one of the most talented writers I've read. She has taken what could have been a very pedestrian account of this occupation and crafted an entertaining, page-turning action packed read.
